Devo Guide Correction

Hey Everyone,

I pray your journey is going well so far. I know for me it has been a really good week. I have experienced difficult moments and it have had moments of great victory in the mercy of God. I want to give you an update to our devotional guide. In compiling all the devotionals from different sources of 100’s of devotionals there will no doubt be a few mistakes. As much as we have tried to minimize the errors to the guide, as yow we are not perfect, so I am sure we have more than one misstep and overlooked a few errors in our guide. My hope is to catch them early and then correct them as soon as possible.

In today’s devotional reading we have referenced Ephesians 3:20-21 as our scripture. However, the correct scripture reference should be Matthew 7:7-11. I am sorry about this misprint, but I hope you will enjoy your reading today and will allow God to use His word in your life. Also in line with Matthew 7:7-11 it is good to know the truth of Ephesians 3:20-21. That in everything --- God can do more than we could ever ask or imagine. What a wonderful promise.

I look forward to seeing you all Sunday!

Carry On.

This journey thus far has been amazing. The Lord has brought me into the valley and back to the mountain top and back again in record time. He is faithful and I am His that is all I need to know. I am writing to ask for prayer for my sister and her husband. They made the decision this week to separate from each. They adopted three children a year and a half ago in hopes of giving them a better life than they were in. Both my sister and my brother-in-law have partaken in sin that the enemy has dangled in front of them, sin that seems to be a stronghold in each of their lives. My brother-in-law seems to be broken and knows that he needs help to conquer the ugliness that he has walked in. His first name is Brian please agree with what seems to be the desire of his heart that he would be free from it. My sister on the other hand is trying to convince herself and all of us that what she is walking in the Lord approves of and clearly according to scripture He does not. Please pray for her as the Lord leads. Finally, please pray for Glen and I that we would speak or be silent in prayer as the Lord leads. This is a very difficult time for our whole family. As sin does many times it has blind sided all of us. We for sure need Gods wisdom. I beg you to pray for the entire situation. The good news that we know is that God is on His throne and that He who began the good work will be faithful to complete to the day of Christ Jesus. Praise God for this 35 days!! Thanks! Stacy

Stacy,

We will be praying for this situation. Who knows what God might be doing?! I pray that God will restore their relationship with HIM and with one another. Please continue to update us.

I felt really moved during todays sermon. The spiritual journey is really helping to open me up to God and face my sin. Please pray that I can overcome temptation instead of caving in to it so frequently. I want to be closer to God.

Dear overcomer! We are praying for you as well as all of our church family. None of us will be perfect in overcoming sin, but the fact that your heart is willing and open to try means everything to God. You will get stronger, the closer you are to Him and the more time you spend with Him. And each time you overcome sin, the next time becomes easier. So here's to building a life of holy strength and power to say NO to sin, and yes to God, who loves you so! Since the Lord tells us not to sin, then we know we can do it! And if you think you cannot do it for yourself, then do it for those who love you. We have faith in God to help you! Thanks for writing.....

God's definitely working on me during this journey, because it was extremely hard for me to physically do the study the first week. But I stuck with it and it's getting much better. If you're struggling with it, please push through the pain. God just wants to see how serious you are about it.

BTW: kudos to the concept, design and coding team on the new site.

My journey began with the attempted suicide of a good friend. Often times I've come to see I pray against the very things God is trying to use in my life to open my eyes. His steadfast love and hand have sustained me. Praise is all I can give, my prayer is that my life will be my worship to him. I'm working on the concept of not asking "why aren't you doing this" but rather "where are you working and how may I be a part of that" Romans 8:28 to chapter 9 have been a focus for me. Meditate and run that scripture through your heart and mind. He gave his son for us, trust and obey for there is no other way.

"If we call upon the Lord, He has promised in His Word to answer, to bring the unsaved to Himself, to pour out His Spirit among us. If we don't call upon the Lord, He promises nothing ---nothing at all. It's that simple. No matter what I preach or what we claim to believe in our heads, the future will depend upon our times of prayer. This is the engine that will drive the church.
