Piedras Negras
HCBCUT has a ministry that serves Piedras Negras, Mexico. Teams of HCBCUT students make the journey to Piedras Negras every month in order to make a lasting impact on the people of the city. The following are words from the volunteers of this mission:

"Piedras Negras, Mexico is not just a place that we visits every couple of months. It is not just a place we stay for the weekend and come back home only to sink back into our old routine. For many of us, it is a home away from home. It is the people that make it beautiful. Barely over the border, we encounter a new world very different then the comfortable lives we lead here. We are forced to forget about tests and clutter that seem to monopolize our thoughts on a daily basis. Every time we go, a stronger relationship is built with the community... with the people. The whole day Saturday we build fences, or run medical clinics, or pass out hot dogs to hundreds of screaming kids. We face paint and break pinatas and sing worship songs. After a long day, we inevitably come home and play a soccer game at the orphanage before a fajita dinner and Bible study. After each trip, I wonder what keeps bringing me back? I don't think I have figured it out yet. Maybe cause the stars are brighter. All I know is that for some reason, while serving, I can see God more clearly. I can feel Him wrap His arms around me as I wrap my arms around a child."
