Jesus Christ had a clear mission when He came to the earth: “to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10) Because of His clear mission, Jesus was able to intentionally utilize the time He had on earth, so as to effectively accomplish the purpose He was sent for. When it comes to the family many conclude our purpose is to focus on building into our family, however, it seems the greatest message we could send to our families is that our greatest affection is Christ and participate in His purpose. What if our families saw mom and dad devouring scripture, pouring into the lives of others, and not only saw God’s transforming power in scripture, but saw it lived out in the lives of the people around them?
